The Journey From Garden to Cup: How Kamdhenu Sources Its Tea
Every cup of Kamdhenu tea begins long before it reaches your kitchen — high up in the tea gardens of Northeast India, where skilled pluckers hand-select only the finest two leaves and a bud from each stem. This careful selection is what gives our tea its distinctive strength and aroma.
Once plucked, the leaves are moved quickly to processing units to preserve freshness. Timing matters here — leaves that sit too long lose the character that makes a good cup of chai. Our sourcing team works directly with garden partners to make sure every batch reaches processing within hours of harvest.
From there, the leaves travel to our facility in Gujarat, where they’re tested for strength, aroma, and colour before a single packet is sealed. It’s this attention at every stage — garden, processing, and packing — that keeps the Kamdhenu cup consistent, batch after batch.
The next time you brew a cup, know that it carries the work of pluckers, garden managers, and quality testers across hundreds of kilometres — all so your chai tastes exactly the way it should.
